Older Voice Systems
When Robotronics first started making robots, we used the Ohra Walkphone Voice System. This voice system is now obsolete. If you have this voice system and it is not working properly, we are not able to fix or replace this unit; we can only suggest that you upgrade to a newer voice system.
After using the Ohra voice system we switched to NADY voice systems. We still use NADY systems, but the units we use now are different than the units we used previously. The following voice units are older units: 151 Transmitter, 101 Transmitter, 101 Receiver, and 331 Receiver.
The following voice units are newer units: VHF Transmitter, UB-10 Transmitter and UHF Receiver.
Note* The 151 Receiver has remained the same.
Upgrading
Upgrading from an older system to a newer system is usually quite simple. If you would like to do this and you have an older robot such as a version 1 robot
(See Model Number) you may need to send the robot to Robotronics so that we can create the necessary wiring. If however you have a later version of robot such as a version 6, then you can simply exchange wires in the robot that we will provide for you. Before purchasing new voice equipment please talk to someone in the service department so that they can help you understand installation procedures.
