Troubleshoot Your Robot

This section is designed to help you to maintain and fix whatever problems you may be experiencing with your robot. This section only goes over the most common problems. If you find that this does not help you for your specific problem, please contact the service department at 801-489-4466

Note: Because of improvements and modifications of the robots over the years, our robots have different version numbers. Knowing the age and model number of your robot will be helpful to you in this section and allow you to know what version of robot you have.

On a Pluggie Robot, the model and serial numbers can be located on the black plastic bar that goes along the top of the robot (you may have to take the red, plastic body off to see this. On most other robots, the model and serial numbers are found if you if you open the battery door and look at the plastic bar the goes across the top portion of the robot. If it is not found there then you may have to take the robot top off and look at the black plastic frame of the robot.

Model Number: The most important thing to know for the model number is that the last three digits are the robot version number.
Serial Number: The serial number is to allow you to know the age of your robot. The first two numbers (year) are the most important to know. If you call to order parts or have a question about your robot, we may request the age and version number of your robot.

Example of Model and Serial Number:

On this you will notice that the last three numbers of the model number are 006. This is a version 6 robot. By looking at the serial number we know that is as made May, 31st 1997 [1997-05-31]. The 001 at the end indicates that it was the first (or only) robot made that day. The product ANDY Copr. 1987 simply means that the copyright for Andy is 1987.
